Hey, friend!

Well, I have three big exciting projects on my plate, and things are going so great at Tighten that I'm literally too busy to work on them.

I love this. I keep seeing this meme that says something like, "it doesn't matter what you say about your company's culture; what matters is how your employees feel on Sunday night."

I care about that a lot. Always have. But I've started to consider, just in the last few years, how I feel on Sunday night as an important metric as well.

I've got too much Protestant guilt to ever fully shake the conviction that every thing I ever do must be exclusively for the service of others. But my therapist spent years trying to beat it out of me and my wife has picked up that job even more passionately. Not that I shouldn't care about others, of course, but that I need to take a spot in there sometimes, too.

So I'm delighted to report that Sunday nights are wonderful times with my family where, if I think about work at all, I'm excited, but often I don't think about work at all. Monday morning shows up and sure, I have a lot on my plate, but it's good stuff. Mostly fun stuff, and even the less-fun stuff is still a good challenge.

But I am looking forward to these two new projects!

I can give you a few little hints. You won't tell anyone, I'm sure.

Project 1 is a new season of the Laravel Podcast, dropping at the end of the month.

Project 2 is a YouTube series.

And Project 3... that's too big for me to share just yet. You'll hear it first, though.
